Keer van der Duur

In the person of Keer van der Duur, we express a graphic representation of the beginning, duration, and end of things and phenomena. Key factors in this work are cyclicality and repetition, which as properties ensure the emergence of many human-made phenomena, but are also the origin of successful, effort-demanding creative activities.

The work consists of three images and partly reflects the world through the binary system, presenting the symbols 0 and 1, depicting trajectories and adding a brief textual touch from the Estonian and Dutch language spaces. Zero and one are initially separate, but during the process, they unite, forming a whole and a cohesive and interdependent system.

We received partial inspiration for this format from our collaboration with a company called VAAL Airships. We are working with them on a project where a model of an architectural object (Kõigi Koda) will be carried by a probe to the edge of the stratosphere and then brought back to the ground. This is a mutually beneficial collaboration, where we as the client are looking for a broader platform for a vision and VAAL Airships is demonstrating its capability to fulfill the wishes of private clients by conducting commercial flights.
